Last night, Samantha crawled into bed around 11 PM, while Marcus and I were watching television and talking. It seemed only right to let her curl up between us, snuggled in and comfy. After all, she was there 6 years ago, the night before she was born. We were doing something similar, I imagine–talking, watching television, and perhaps thinking about what the next day and the arrival of our first daughter would bring.
We became a family with her birth…a family of three. And I’m not really sure where the past six years has gone.
I don’t know how that little baby turned into this beautiful girl.
But it has been, and continues to be an amazing ride. And there will always be room for her to squeeze in between us at night.
